Environmental issue were very important to Beth Chatto and in what would be her hundredth year Beth Chatto Plants and Gardens are making recordings of The Beth Chatto Symposium 'Rewilding the Mind' available free of charge.
The recordings of the two-day event have been divided into individual lectures and panel discussions and feature talks by Fergus Garret and Tom Stuart- Smith.
It was presented by Peter Gibbs and featured Pippa Greenwood, Bob Flowerdew, and Bunny Guinness on the GQT panel.
The panel answered twenty questions and two programmes were broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Friday 18th November and Friday 2nd December at 3pm. These programmes are now available on the GQT website on BBC Sounds.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The solutions the panel put forward were witty, informative, and sometimes conflicting. It all added up to a great show which played to a packed Community Hall with members of the Society, the Banstead community and invited local gardening clubs.
